Safety and care tips

Sewing machines and overlockers are fragile and dangerous, so please be careful. Avoid nasty accidents by following these safety and care tips.

  • Power Connection

Do not connect the machine directly to an electrical outlet unless you are sure that the electrical supply’s voltage and frequency match the machine’s specifications.

Fit the non-reversible plug in the cord socket before plugging it into the power supply outlet.

  • Light Repair

You can find the sewing machine’s light behind the face plate. Turn the screw anticlockwise until you can remove the face plate.

  • Safe Sewing

Control the sewing speed with the foot pedal. The harder you press the pedal down, the faster it sews, so start sewing slowly and carefully.

When turning the wheel on a manual machine, always turn it toward yourself and guide the fabric gently with your hand. Watch out for your fingers!

  • Needle Care

Raise the needle out of the fabric when you stop sewing to prevent the fabric from breaking the needles.
